At The Totteridge Academy we use the "ICT Smart Skills Builder" programme for Year 7 & 8.

The course is structured into a range of student friendly units of work. Each unit is built around a series of tutorials that introduce students to software skills, concepts and key terms. Students will work with a range of software including:

• Presentation Software

• Web Authoring, Graphics and Video Software

• Desktop Publishing Packages

• Data Handling and Modelling Software

• Desktop Publishing Packages

• Game Making Software for sequencing instructions

• The Internet for research and gathering information

Year 9 students follow the OCR Nationals Level 2 ICT course and will be expected to gain an OCR National Award which is the fully accredited equivalent of two GCSEs (A*-C) at the end of Year 11.
